SOIO celebrates 200th course

SOIO has just delivered its 200th defence course! Since our launch in 2019, SOIO has been training the next generation of professionals working in the Department of Defence, Defence Industry and the wider Defence Organisation. SOIO has now delivered courses to over 1700 students covering multi-domain operations including electronic warfare, cyber, undersea warfare, uncrewed aerial systems, space, and maritime operations.

Taking our courses to Europe

SOIO and our new partners in Europe, Westberi Consulting Group, had the opportunity to meet with some of the attendees at the Undersea Defence Technology in Oslo, Norway. The forum brought together hundreds of attendees and some world-class presenters to explore emerging and existing threats within the underwater defence domain. SOIO introduces new simulation tool

SOIO is introducing the latest simulation tool to enhance our Electronic Warfare, Undersea Warfare and Maritime Operations short courses: Command: Professional Edition (PE). Command PE is a Battlespace simulation tool that enables you to analyse decision-making, sensor data, the effects of terrain and weather and platform capabilities. It gives SOIO students a dynamic, immersive experience where learners step into the shoes of warfare professionals, facing real-world scenarios. Currently in use by US & NATO Air and Naval Forces, Command: PE is being integrated with SOIO’s operational expertise to give you the edge in your career.

SOIO had the opportunity to meet with some of the (more than 20,000!) attendees at Land Forces International Land Defence Exposition in Melbourne last week. The Exposition brought together senior international military, defence, government, scientific and industry delegations from around the world. We were lucky to be part of the Defence SA team, and one of over 990 exhibitors!
