SOIO joins Australian Information Warfare Alliance
Australia’s sovereign Information Warfare (IW) capabilities have been boosted with the establishment of an Australian Defence Industry-led consortium. Announced at the Indo Pacific Expo in Sydney last week, the Australian Information Warfare Alliance (AIWA) brings together leading industry partners to collaborate on building the country’s Defence IW capabilities and deliver on AUKUS Pillar 2 capabilities.

The School of Information Operations (SOIO) has recently achieved the milestone of delivering 100 defence courses to over 900 students. Since its launch in 2019, SOIO has been training the next generation of professionals working in the Department of Defence, Defence Industry and the wider Defence Organisation.

The School of Information Operations, has celebrated delivering 100 defence courses to more than 900 students since its launch in 2019. School of Information Operations (SOIO) is working in the Department of Defence and defence industry to cover multi-domain operations including electronic warfare, cyber, undersea warfare, uncrewed aerial systems, space, and maritime operations across six short courses and two long courses.
$5m partnership between DST, Flinders Uni to build EW centre
Flinders University, DST and SOIO have announced a $5 million memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish a centre of excellence to support research and development and the growth of an electronic warfare workforce in South Australia.
