Cyber and EW (CEMA) Planning Course - SC008

The Cyber and EW Planning Course offers an introductory understanding of the principles, processes, and practicalities involved in planning Electronic Warfare (EW) and Cyber operations within joint and coalition environments. Participants learn how to integrate Cyber and EW considerations into established planning frameworks such as the Joint Planning Process (JPP) and the Joint Military Appreciation Process (JMAP), with a focus on aligning operational objectives, legal and ethical constraints, and multi-domain coordination. The course covers scenario development, order of battle analysis, concept of operations (CONOPS), and the development and synchronisation of courses of action, ensuring students can translate strategic guidance into executable plans. 

Through case studies and practical exercises, students gain experience in operational-to-tactical implementation, post-exercise debrief and analysis, and the use of assessment metrics to evaluate effectiveness. Emphasis is placed on the integration of Cyber and EW effects with kinetic operations, spectrum management, and information-related capabilities, preparing graduates to contribute to mission success in complex, contested environments. 

Intended Audience

This course is suitable for personnel that require an introductory understanding of the integration of Cyber and Electronic Warfare into military operations as a means to maximise overall performance of the operational aims.

Prerequisites

 It is essential to complete SC001 EW course and highly desirable to complete SC003 Space and SC005 Cyber short courses prior to attending.
